Disco Turkeys to play all home games at Couch Ballpark

The Carolina Disco Turkeys are excited to announce that all of our home games this summer will take place at Wake Forest University's Couch Ballpark in Winston-Salem.

The home opener will be take place on Memorial Day Weekend on Friday, May 23, when the Disco Turkeys host the Uwharrie Wampus Cats. Another key date this summer is July 4 when the Marion Hungry Mothers come to town for the biggest baseball event in the Triad that day. 

"We're excited to play all of our home games at Couch Ballpark this season and have all our home games at a single amazing venue," said Disco Turkeys owner and team president Greg Sullivan. "Couch Ballpark is one of the nicest baseball stadiums in the country for fans and players alike. We can't wait to get started for what will be our fifth season as a team."

Single-game tickets will go on sale in late April and will start at $10. Parking for all home games is free.

In addition to their home games, the Disco Turkeys will also soon be announcing their full schedule, which will include away trips to places like the Pulaski River Turtles and Tri-City Chili Peppers, near Richmond, Va. The Disco Turkeys will also host a game at the Hickory Crawdads stadium in June. The season ends with their late-July tournament.

New to this year's home schedule is the Marion Hungry Mothers, a team playing out of Marion, Virginia's Hurricane Stadium, a former New York Mets farm club facility where Nolan Ryan started his pro career. 

"We're looking forward to some new opponents and new trips and also playing existing rivals like the Wampus Cats, the Mooresville Spinners and Queen City Corndogs," Sullivan said. "This year is our fifth year as an organization and the quality of baseball, competition and game environments for us has never been higher. We'd love to thank all of our supporters, community partners and Wake Forest University for helping make all of this possible."
