The Carolina Disco Turkeys are excited to launch our new host family program!
Right now, we're seeking host families for our players for the summer of 2023. As a host family, you will provide a player a “home away from home.”
Host families receive up to four free season tickets per household and also gain an inside look at a high-quality summer wood bat baseball team.
This can be a great opportunity especially for parents of youth baseball or softball players. Hosting players is also a great way to feel connected to Winston-Salem and to get involved in local sports.
Host families are only responsible for providing a guest room. Convenient access to refrigerator space and a washer and dryer are also a big plus for matching players to families. Players are responsible for their own transportation, phone calls, laundry, and dining. All players staying with host families next summer will be able to provide proof of coronavirus vaccination.
The majority of our games start at 6 or 6:30 p.m. and most of our away games are within an hour and a half from Winston-Salem. While we won’t have too many late nights, host families should be comfortable with players coming home around 10 pm or a little later on game nights. Players report to our area in mid-to-late May and will usually be in town until early August.
